Joe Austin Williamson

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Austin Williamson, age 74, was born October 11, 1932 and died May 1, 2007 at River Park Hospital following a six-month illness. A welder with Metal Products and a United States Army veteran of Korea, he was the son of the late Richard Eugene and Clydie Graham Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Hazel Roberta Williamson. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joe E. and Sherry Williamson of McMinnville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Yates, Wanda Jean and Jose Alvarodo, Terry and Charles Walker and Tracey and Chris Caswell all of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Lillie Harris of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007 in High's Chapel with Mack Mullican officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
