Rosie Janie Odineal YORK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rosie Janie Odineal York, age 81, was born December 2, 1925 and died August 8, 2007 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Genesco and a member of the Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George and Dallie Hendrix Odineal. She was married to Alvin Collin York who preceded her in death August 17, 1972. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Bell Rigsby and Willie Mae Passons. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Marty York of McMinnville and Michael and Belinda York of Nashville, TN; brother, G.B. "Bert" Odineal of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence and Newton Gribble officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery.
