Hazel Leona Wanamaker ARGO

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Hazel Leona Wanamaker Argo, age 87, was born June 3, 1920 and died February 20, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Ollie Coppinger Wanamaker. She was married March 2, 1939 to Luke Lee Argo who preceded her in death July 12, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Conard, Clifton and Glenn Wanamaker. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Gail Argo of McMinnville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Janet and Richard Anthony of Franklin, TN; great-grandson, Blake Anthony of Franklin, TN; great-granddaughter, Margo Anthony of Franklin, TN; three sisters, Beatrice Hillis and Pauline Campbell both of McMinnville and Nelma Sullivan of Beersheba Springs, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 in High's Chapel with William Wanamaker officiating. Burial followed in the Hebron Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to .
