Edward Sherman BARNES

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Edward Sherman Barnes, age 60, was born September 15, 1947 and died March 7, 2008 at River Park Hospital. An engineer at A.O. Smith, a United States Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Covenant Fellowship Church, he was the son of Alma Barnes of McMinnville and the late Elbert Sherman Barnes. He was married to Delorise Newberry Barnes who preceded him in death February 10, 2007. In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Barnes and sister, Wilma Rhea. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Amy Barnes of Centre, AL; granddaughter, Charlie Barnes of Centre, AL; three sisters, Freda Hennessee and Deborah Barnes both of Murfreesboro, TN and Marie Caldwell of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Hugh Barnes, Terry Barnes and Charles Barnes all of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 in High's Chapel with Dean Northcutt officiating. Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.
