Opal Lucille BASHAM

Morrison, TN resident and Cannon County native Opal Lucille Basham, age 90, was born August 3, 1918 and died August 31, 2008 at River Park Hospital. A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jesse "Doc" and Melissie Emaline Winnett Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, Herman Basham; one son, Charles Basham; one sister, Ercie Davenport; four brothers, Calvin, Jewell, Carmen and Lytle Jones. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Billy Jean Fults of Morrison, TN; Helen and David Jennings of Morrison, TN; five sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Helen Basham of McMinnville; David and Marion Jo Basham of Rock Island, TN; Ray and Pat Basham of McMinnville; Bernice and Dianne Basham of Morrison, TN; Bobby and Diannia Basham of McMinnville; Nancy Basham of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in High's Chapel with Billy Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
