Spencer, TN resident and Van Buren County native Helen Grissom Hillis Bouldin, age 83, was born June 8, 1925 and died August 30, 2008 at NHC following a lingering illness. A housewife and a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Morgan Lewis and Emma Pauline Delong Grissom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband Lossie Monroe Hillis. She is survived by husband, Paul Bouldin of Spencer, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Gaye Hillis of McMinnville; two granddaughters and spouses, Kellie Beth and Brent Groce of Smyrna, TN; Tara Leann and John Hanson of McMinnville; Four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Groce of Smyrna, TN; Mitchell and Meghan Madewell of McMinnville; Mr. Bouldin's family, six children, Bill Bouldin, Edna Milstead, Faye Bouldin, Dorothy Barnes, Paulette Boyd and Delaine De Bord all of Spencer, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; Mrs. Bouldin's sisters and Brothers, Lottie Bea Roberts, Charlene Bouldin, Bernice Denney, Mildred Walling and Paul Grissom all of Spencer, TN; and Truman Grissom of Dunlap, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in High's Chapel with Billy Reed and Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial followed in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
