Elaine D. BRATCHER

McMinnville resident and Detroit, MI native Elaine D. Bratcher, age 81, was born April 5, 1927 and died May 8, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed medical transcriptionist and member of the Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Blanche D'Aigle Kohnert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Alvie Bratcher, Jr. and Donald Brandenburg and two grandchildren, Brian Collins and Angela Billings. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roger Collins of Northville, MI and Sandra and Houston Billings of McMinnville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Zelma Brandenburg of Sparta, TN, Dennis Brandenburg of Key West, FL, David and Marilyn Brandenburg of Gainesville, FL and Randy and Linda Brandenburg of Northville, MI; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Lyons of Belleville, MI and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008 in High's Chapel with Willard Ralph, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Banks Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN.
