Rayburn BRATCHER

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rayburn Bratcher, age 69, was born August 18, 1938 and died August 4, 2008 at his residence following a short illness. A retired truck driver and bull dozer operator and member of Sunny Hills Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Jacob Payton and Rosie Lee Cope Bratcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alton Bratcher. He was married August 24, 1957 to Rose Mary Johnson Bratcher of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gary Grove of Collierville, TN; son, Mark Bratcher of McMinnville; granddaughter, Erica Grove of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Melvin Bratcher of McMinnville; three sisters, Dean Prater and Eva Ralph both of McMinnville and Shirley Young of Woodbury, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in High's Chapel with Richard Haley and Rex Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Banks Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN.
