Frances H. BROWN

July 21, 1916 — December 19, 2008

McMinnville resident and Warren County native, Frances H. Brown, age 92, was born July 21, 1916 and died December 19, 2008 at River Park Hospital following a two-week illness. A homemaker, a dietician for Methodist Assembly for 17 years, and a member of the Grace Chapel Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late J. H. and Charlotte Woodlee Hughes. She was married to Dennis Smith Brown, who preceded her in death in 1987. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna H. Hughes and Lucille Beasley. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Robert Boyd, Jr. of McMinnville; granddaughter, Emily H. Haston of McMinnville; grandson, Robert W. Boyd, III and wife, Janna of Knoxville, TN; three great-grandchildren, Lucy McGill, Emma Kathleen Haston and Sarah Morgan Boyd and nephew, Joe Beasley of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 in High's Chapel with Rev. Bob Case and Rev. Clayton Jones officiating. Burial followed at Grace Chapel Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Neighbor Program c/o Grace Chapel Methodist Church, Beersheba Springs, TN.
