Gwendolyn Watson BROWN

January 7, 1920 — February 5, 2008

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gwendolyn Watson Brown, age 88, was born January 7, 1920 and died February 5, 2008 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Quixie Milligan Watson. She was married to Franklin H. "Chick" Brown who preceded her in death in 1985. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Waldon Watson and sister, Modeana Watson. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Rena and Colin McDowell of San Diego, CA, Sharon and David Hammer of Wilder, KY, "B" and Neal Cox and Gwen and Ricky Hildreth both of McMinnville and Jeri and Jerry Brown of Nashville, TN; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Audrey Henry of Franklin, TN and Dean Magness of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 in High's Chapel with Nestor Stewart and Bill Zechman officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
