Lala Brown BRUBAKER

McMinnville resident and Florence, AL native Lala Brown Brubaker, age 70, was born December 8, 1937 and died November 26, 2008 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Moss Martin Brown. She was married August 5, 1972 to Gerald Eugene Brubaker of McMinnville. Lala grew up in Nashville where she attended West End High School and earned a degree from Peabody College. She met Gerald at McKendree Methodist Church in Nashville where they married. They moved to McMinnville in 1983. In younger years, she worked as a medical technologist and was an accomplished knitter and an avid Titans fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Edward and Betty Brown, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN; sister, June Brown Doak of Nashville, TN; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 in High's Chapel with Mark Carrigan officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
