Katie Frances CANTRELL

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Katie Frances Cantrell, age 73, was born October 18, 1935 and died December 17, 2008 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Madie Young Pack. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Cantrell; three sisters, Betty Jo Redmon, Lear Wright and Vestie Green and three brothers, D.G., Charles and Franklin Pack. She was married October 16, 1954 to Dennie Denton Cantrell of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Steve and Doris Cantrell of Smithville, TN, Pam Cantrell and Kathy and Jesse Bratcher both of McMinnville and Kim and Bennie McBride of Morrison, TN; three grandchildren, Misty Arnold and Zach and Jamie McBride; three great-grandchildren, Gabe, Garrett and Abbigail; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 in High's Chapel with Paul Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN.
