Arthur Levon CLENDENON

Nashville, TN resident and Warren County native Arthur Levon Clendenon, age 76, was born August 28, 1931 and died April 23, 2008 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired accountant with Metropolitan Nashville, a United States Air Force veteran of Korea and a member of the Una Church of Christ where he served as a deacon, he was the son of the late Eston and Ruby Cass Clendenon. He was married to Annie Myra Smoot who preceded him in death May 23, 2007. He is survived by one son, Mickey Clendenon of Mt. Juliet, TN; daughter, Toni Clendenon of Smyrna, TN; three grandchildren, Geoffrey Clendenon and Casey Clendenon both of Nashville, TN and Emily Brooks and her husband, Kevin of LaFayette, GA and brother-in-law, Malcolm "Pat" Smoot of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Una Church of Christ in Nashville, TN with Steve Blackman, Todd Elliott and Geoffrey Clendenon officiating. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors adminstered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
