James Lofton Dib CLENDENON

Irving College Community resident and Warren County native James Lofton "Dib" Clendenon, age 74, was born November 11, 1933 and died suddenly March 13, 2008. A farmer and nurseryman and a member of St. Mary's Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Lofton C. and Erma Panter Clendenon. He was married June 5, 1954 to Mary Sue McBride Clendenon of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kent Clendenon of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Frankie and Chris Kelly of Lebanon, TN; three grandchildren, Nick and Ben Kelly of Lebanon, TN and Macaulli Clendenon of McMinnville; great-grandson, Mason Lofton Kelly; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Eunice Clendenon of Johnson City, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Hebron Church of Christ with Greg Rains officiaitng. Burial followed in the Hebron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clendenon Memorial Fund @ Homeland Community Bank.
