Cleveland, OH resident and Lincoln County, TN native William Wesley Curtis, age 83, was born January 19, 1925 and died September 12, 2008 at Marymount Hospital in Cleveland, OH. A foreman with Anchor Industries and a United States Army veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bessie Curtis. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Curtis Edwards of Cleveland, OH, Peggy Curtis Porter of Sammamish, WA and Gail Curtis of N. Las Vegas, NV; son, Ralph (Linda) Curtis-Bey of Brooklyn, NY; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Lera Nowlin of McMinnville and loving companion and dear friend, JoAnn Germany. Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Faulkner Cemetery @ Pike Hill with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
