Walter Lewis DILLARD

McMinnville resident and Larkinsville, AL native Walter Lewis Dillard, age 69, was born June 15, 1938 and died January 6, 2008 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A retired employee of Carrier and a member of the East End Drive Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Tom and Nellie Bibb Dillard. He was married to Johnnie Lusk Dillard of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Eva and Clark Lyons, Evelyn and James Officer and Sandra and Allen McKinley all of Murfreesboro, TN; five sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Doris Womack of Memphis, TN, Danny and Malissa Womack of Sparta, TN, Gary Womack of Murfreesboro, TN; Barry and Anna Dillard of Portland, OR and Ricky Womack of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren, Antwaun, Alexus, Chase, Octavian, Taylor, Colby, Logan, Ashley Day, Demario, Demarcus, Marcus, Emma and Jaden; sister, Amanda Whitaker of McMinnville and brother, John Dillard of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
