Dorothy DOAK

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Dorothy Doak, age 83, was born February 9, 1925 and died February 18, 2008 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was the daughter of the late James and Eoda Bess Turner. She was married to Jim Doak who preceded in death in 1993. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Franklin Doak. She is survived by two sons, Richard Doak of McMinnville and Jimmy Doak of Flint, MI; daughter, Deborah Doak of McMinnville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and three brothers, Clayborn Turner of Altamont, TN, John Turner of McMinnville and James Turner of Sedelia, MO. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McMinnville with Joe Moffitt, Michael Weeter and Tim Hitchcock officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
