Lawanna Faye DODD

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lawanna Faye Dodd, age 76, was born August 1, 1931 and died June 16, 2008 at River Park Hospital following a five-year illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Wilson and Lola Frances Davenport Holt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Holt and two sisters, Rowena Carr and Omega Jones. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Victor Cole of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Joe M. and Joyce Dodd, Jr. of Rock Island, TN; six grandchildren, April Dodd of Mt. Juliet, TN, Jason Smith of Smartt, TN, Heather Smith of Rock Island, TN and Gregg Dodd, Nikki Cole and Kaiti Cole all of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Gregg and Craig Dodd and sister, Vivian Chandler of Hammond, LA. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 in High's Chapel with Bob Vickers and Tim Pelham officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
