Nina Ellen ELROD

McMinnville resident and Pickett County, TN native Nina Ellen Elrod, age 86, was born April 28, 1922 and died September 23, 2008 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home. A retired employee of Genesco an a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lillie Conner Holt. She was married December 10, 1955 to Samuel David Elrod who preceded her in death February 2, 2007. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Maurice Elrod and two brothers, Arthur and Algie Holt. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Elrod of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Robert Causey of Cragford, AL; five grandchildren, Katelyn Elrod of McMinnville, Ashley Elrod of Virginia, James Causey of Jacksonville, AL and Sarah Causey and Karen Williams both of Weaver, AL; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Belle Williams and two sisters, June Dayton of Woodbury, TN and Olene Mims of Nashville, TN. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
