Willie Mae Scott FISHER

October 31, 1924 — May 25, 2008

Rock Island, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native Willie Mae Scott Fisher, age 83, was born October 31, 1924 and died May 25, 2008 at her residence. A retired inspector at Levi's and member of the Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of the late Sam Neal and Liza Bell Parker Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Wallace Scott, Alvie Lee Scott and Edward Brown Scott; two sisters, Sarah Bratcher and Martha Davenport and granddaughter, Charlotte Buss. She was married March 13, 1948 to William G Fisher of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children and their spouses, Joe and Fay Fisher of Smyrna, TN, Brenda and Charles Bell and Randy and Debbie Fisher both of McMinnville, Deborah and Joe Sliger of Morrison, TN and Teresa and Dale Yates of Spencer, TN; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Roberts of Doyle, TN and Opal Hankal of McMinnville; two brothers, Sammy Scott and Lloyd Scott both of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p. m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Merritt and Danny Hale officiating. Burial followed in the Old Bybee Cemetery.
