Edith Hendrixson Ward GALLANT

Ft. Pierce, FL resident and Warren County native Edith Hendrixson Ward Gallant, age 96, was born November 13, 1911 and died September 28, 2008. She was retired from Tree Sweet Packing Plant in Ft. Pierce, FL, and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Rosa Perkins Hendrixson. She was married to David Martin Ward and William Floyd Gallant both of whom preceded her in death. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, David Martin, Jr. and Carol Rayburn Ward and granddaughter, Ingrid Edith "Tinky" Gallant. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya Ward Mayfield, Queita Ward Willison and William Akers, Jr., Fredelene Dale Ward-Gallant and Carolyn Ward and Paul Lundy; son and daughter-in-law, Gary William and Jane Gallant; grandchildren, Charles Mayfield, Jr., Timothy Mayfield, Larry Willison, Jr., Queita Jane Willison, Tammy Willison Allard and Selena Lundy Hilliard; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Mt. View Cemetery with Chuck Mayfield officiating.
