Kenneth Ray GILLEY

Green Hill Community resident and Huntsville, AL native Kenneth Ray Gilley, age 75, was born June 21, 1932 and died March 31, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A mail carrier and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Mahoney and America Elizabeth Bennett Gilley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Gilley and granddaughter, Christina Wing. He was married June 14, 1952 to Dean Conner Gilley of the Green Hill Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Mike O'Brien of Southfield, MI and Diane and Bill Wing of Livonia, MI; sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Lindon Stanley of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in High's Chapel with Fred Bivens officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
