Robert Lee GOSNELL

McMinnville resident and Indian Head, Maryland native Robert Lee Gosnell, age 78, was born January 1, 1930 and died May 24, 2008 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A retired carpenter and United States Army veteran of Korea, he was the son of the late Welby C. and Margaret Ann Boswell Gosnell. He was married July 31, 1968 to Octa Beatrice Womack of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Beverly Ritter and Jean Gale both of Maryland, Sharon Chance of Florida and Rose Kranker of New York; son, Jerry Greene of the Green Hill Community; nineteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two brothers, William and James Gosnell both of Maryland. A graveside service and interment was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Webb Cemetery with J.C. Womack officiating. Full military honors were administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
