Cookeville, TN resident (formerly of Rock Island, TN) and Warren County native Pauline Pryor Golden Gribble, age 87, was born April 17, 1921 and died June 13, 2008 at her residence following a one-year illness. A homemaker and member of the Arlington Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alaska Elcana and Josie Estella Pryor Golden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Sue Gribble and Trudy Zo Gribble and two brothers, Arthur and Hubert "Hoss" Golden. She was married September 28, 1942 to Newton Price Gribble, Sr. of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Price and Penny Gribble of Killen, AL and Sid and Sheila Gribble of Cookeville, TN; two grandchildren, Chris Gribble of Atlanta, GA and Andy Gribble of Cookeville, TN; five sisters, Henrietta Patton Mayberry, Doris Whitlock, Stella Parker Grissom and Nelta Cantrell all of McMinnville, Alice Cantrell of Viola, TN and two brothers, Austin Golden of McMinnville and Edwin Golden of Tishamingo, MS. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008 in High's Chapel with Wymer Wiser officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
