Kenneth Ray HERMAN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Kenneth Ray Herman, age 58, was born June 1, 1949 and died May 17, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed nurseryman, a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam and member of the Smartt Church of God, he was the son of the late John B. and Daisy Herman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Herman; granddaughter, Megan Henson; sisters, Carol Ann Herman and Mary Frances Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Billye Herman and brother-in-law, Jerry Reeder. He is survived by one daughter, Lesa Wilson of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Brenda Herman of Smithville, TN and John E. Herman of Christiana, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy Reeder of Ringgold, GA and Anita and Tony Martin of Smithville, TN; sister-in-law, Marilin Herman of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Paul Turner of McMinnville; special grandson, Jay Martin of McMinnville; special friend, Jerri Mason of McMinnville; special nephew, John Turner of McMinnville and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in High's Chapel with Johnny Carr officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
