Bonnie Lee Miller HILLIS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bonnie Lee Miller Hillis, age 78, was born May 9, 1930 and died June 26, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired cashier at Lentz Cee Bee Grocery and member of the Pleasant Cove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Worth and Dora Scott Miller. She was married May 17, 1947 to Ralph Lindon Hillis who preceded her in death December 19, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Bill, Wesley, James, Price, Paul and Horace Miller. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Ross Rains of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Dottie Hillis of McMinnville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and George Newman, Dano and Misti Hillis and Alissa Rains and friend, Kenneth Wolf all of McMinnville and Amy and Michael Moody of Murfreesboro; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Newman, Kaylee Hillis and Evan Moody; sister, Lucille Parker of Viola, TN; several nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Jeannie Heath, Wilma Smartt, Vida Fann, Thelma Duncan and Donna Morris. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
