Pauline HILLIS

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Pauline Hillis, age 86, was born August 3, 1922 and died October 22, 2008 at St. Thomas Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. A homemaker and member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Parker and Bertha Roach Wood. She was married to James Willard Hillis who preceded her in death June 28, 1990. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kay and George Thaxton of Viola, TN and Ann Womack of Manchester, TN; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Travis and Zane Thaxton of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Mason Thaxton and Jewell Frame; two sisters-in-law, Mildred McClain of Morrison, TN and Wilma Tolbert of Nashville, TN; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Dot Hillis of Fairborn, OH and two nieces and two nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 in High's Chapel with Jon Bell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
