Verna Mae HITCHCOCK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Verna Mae Hitchcock, age 69, was born June 24, 1938 and died March 27, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Locust Street Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lillie Pugh Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Matthew Roberts and Lillian Gerdom. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Brown, Linda and Jim Wanamaker, Karen Roberts and Anita and George Gerdom all of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Donna Womack of Crosby, TX; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one sister, Jean Grosch of Manchester, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 in High's Chapel with Josh Vandergraph officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
