Carl Maloney HOBBS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carl Maloney Hobbs, age 71, was born February 4, 1937 and died February 7, 2008 at River Park Hospital following a short illness. A retired employee of Carrier, he was the son of the late Charles Maloney and Ruby Irene Woodlee Hobbs. He was married to Billie Jean Adams Hobbs who preceded him in death November 24, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Darlene Hobbs. He is survived by three sons, Roy Lee Hobbs and Jimmy Dale Hobbs both of McMinnville and Carl David Hobbs of Morrison, TN; six grandchildren, Jimmy Dwayne Hobbs, Amanda Nicole Hobbs, David Allen Hobbs and Marie Renea Hobbs all of McMinnville, Viki Marie Andrews of Florida and Skyler Wayne Hobbs of Morrison, TN; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Keith Hobbs and Milo Clark Hobbs both of McMinnville; sister, Alma Dean Hobbs McCormick of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cannon County, TN.
