JR., Joe HUMPHREY

McMinnville resident and Hazel Green, AL native Joe Humphrey, Jr., age 72, was born April 23, 1936 and died November 13, 2008 at his residence. A retired employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville and a member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Joseph Edward and Jessie Mae Dickson Humphrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Shelby, Elby, Bill, Floyd and Davis Humphrey. He was married June 11, 1955 to Charlene Alley Humphrey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Martha Humphrey of McMinnville, James Humphrey of McMinnville and Joey and Christina Humphrey of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren and spouses, Kristy and Eric Haagenson of Wisconsin, Melody Sanders of McMinnville, Brandi and Garrett McCormick of McMinnville and Daniel and Melanie Sullens of McMinnville; three step-grandchildren and spouses, Corey Beall of Nashville, TN, Dustin Beall of Nashville, TN, Samantha and R.J. Beall Morris of Nashville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Barrett and Briley Sullens, Kiley Haagenson and Jordan Sanders; two step-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Braden Beall both of Nashville, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Ruby Humphrey of AR, and Charlie and Marie Humphrey of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jean Northcutt of McMinnville and Louise and Frank Pearsall of McMinnville; a host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 in High's Chapel with Darrell Cantrell and Kevin Murphy officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery.
