Mildred Inez JACKSON

Pensacola, FL resident and Grundy County, TN native Mildred Inez Jackson, age 92, was born June 30, 1916 and died December 14, 2008 at the Health Center of Pensacola, FL following an extended illness. A retired teacher with the Warren County School System and member of the Shiloh Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Hallie Wanamaker Nelms. She was married to William Paul Jackson who preceded her in death June 14, 1965. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Morris, Harold, J.W., William and Clifford Nelms. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Paula Diane and Bob Hill of Pensacola, FL; two grandsons and their wives, Russell and Suzette Hill of Plano, TX and Reid and Melissa Hill of Ocean Springs, MS; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hill, Jackson Hill and Halie Caldwell and two sisters and brother-in-law, Lillian Nelms Daniel and Dorothy Nelms and Lierd Woodlee both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2008 in High's Chapel with Matt Long and Mike Hale officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery.
