Joe Donald JONES

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Donald Jones, age 67, was born August 28, 1940 and died July 5, 2008 at his residence following a sudden illness. The owner of River's Auto Sales and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, he is the son of the late Chester E. and Virginia Ruth Watson Jones. He was married August 23, 1958 to Jollyn Ann Locke Jones who preceded him in death March 11, 2007. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Pitts and brother, Terry Jones. He is survived by one son, Gregory Joe Jones of McMinnville; grandchildren, Terian Turner of McMinnville and River Jones and Lakelyn Rose Jones both of Sparta, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Billy L. and Gloria Jones of McMinnville; nieces and their husbands, Sheila Pitts of Cleveland, TN, Rhonda and John Pelham of McMinnville and Donna and McCaw Johnson of Ridge Top, TN; aunt, Eloise Ganey of Huntsville, AL and special friend, Gail Morrow of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
