Lyda KILLIAN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lyda Killian, age 81, was born June 22, 1927 and died August 26, 2008 at her residence. A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Hervie Maybile and Vera Lee Parks Christian. She was married to Jim Houston Killian who preceded her in death September 5, 2007. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Killian of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Ralph Barnes of McMinnville; four grandchildren, John Barnes, Stephanie (Troy) Hobbs, Amber (Brian) Rippy and Colby (Caitlyn) Killian; five great-grandchildren, Hunter and Alex Hobbs, Autumn Brim, Rylee Grace Rippy and Cash Killian; sister, Athelia Herrin of McMinnville; brother, George Bradley Christian of McMinnville; three sisters-in-law, Helen Patrick, Kathleen Killian and Maxine Anderson all of McMinnville and brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Earl and Frances Campbell of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 in High's Chapel with Ralph Barnes officiating. Burial followed in the Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek.
