McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rosena Lusk, age 94, was born February 11, 1914 and died May 7, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A bookkeeper for Dr. Bigbee and Dr. Pedigo and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Icie Bonner Starkey. She was married May 24, 1937 to Frank Duncan Lusk who preceded her in death March 25, 1993. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Howard Franklin Lusk; two granddaughters, Deandrea Lusk and Sherry Mosley; five sisters, Mollie Mitchell, Sadie Solomon, Ruby Hawkins, Jennie Gribble and Stella Starkey and four brothers, Jack, Sterling, Grady and Howard Starkey. She is survived by three daughters, Vera Thomas of Marysville, CA, Johnnie Dillard of McMinnville and Juanita Taylor of Rock Island, TN; five sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Georgia Lusk, James and Henrietta Lusk, and Harold and Louise Lusk all of McMinnville Jerry Lusk and Curtis and Rhonda Lusk both of Murfreesboro, TN and Margaret Lusk of McMinnville; thirty-two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thurman Starkey of Chicago, IL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 in High's Chapel with George King and Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
