Ella Mae MARTIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ella Mae Martin, age 88, was born January 26, 1920 and died August 31, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A sole proprietor in the housecleaning business and a member of the Clark United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Pearl Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Edward Martin; nine brothers, George, Raymond, Arthur, Oscar, Wiley, Wilson, Forrest Jr., Clinton and Roosevelt Martin; two sisters, Hattie Jane Martin and Maude Scott; She is survived by one granddaughter, Charlotte DeAnn Teddy Martin of McMinnville; two grandsons, Jerry Alexander Martin and Ronald Beth Harris both of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren, Cierra D. Martin, Bailey A. Martin, Brennan A. Martin, Omari Harris, Jerren Harris and Korbyn Harris all of McMinnville; one great-nephew, Richard Martin of McMinnville; one niece, Armestine Drake of McMinnville; one sister-in-law, Roberta James of California; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating.
