Royal MARTIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Royal Martin, age 63, was born March 9, 1944 and died January 16, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A bar and restaurant owner and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Hattie Jane Martin. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janie Peppers; uncles, Roosevelt, Wiley, Forrest, Jr., Oscar, Clint, George and Raymond and aunt Maude Scott. He is survived by one son, Lamar Martin of McMinnville; step-son, Morgan Gross of Sparta, TN; seven sisters, Armestine Drake, Gina Taylor, Wanda Martin, Etta Thomas and Peggy Martin all of McMinnville, Etta Louise Pepper of Richmond, CA and Sandra Martin of Cleveland, OH; three brothers, Michael John Martin and Danny Martin both of McMinnville and Terry Louis Martin of California; three grandchildren; aunt, Ella Mae Martin of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery @ Martin Charge at a later date.
