Mary Eddie MCBRIDE

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mary Eddie McBride, age 83, was born December 9, 1924 and died September 22, 2008 at her residence following a sudden illness. The retired owner of Forest Nursery Co. and a member of the Rockliff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Florence Kennedy Phillips. She was married to Jessie Lee McBride who preceded her in death September 21, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jessie Lee McBride, Jr. and son-in-law, Jack Kassees. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Jean Kassees of Springfield, GA; two grandsons, Michael Kassees and his wife, Angela of Murfreesboro, TN and Matthew Kassees of Savannah, GA; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Kaitlyn Kassees of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 in High's Chapel with Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
