Smithville, TN resident and Warren County native Nina Louise McCormack, age 83, was born November 24, 1924 and died August 19, 2008 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Levi's and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Sam Arley and Mary Ellen Lowe Prater. She was married August 4, 1952 to Amos McCormick who preceded her in death October 30, 2003. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Elliot Ramage; daughter, Mary Ellen Caldwell; two brothers, Glenn D. and Luther A. Prater and sister Jenny Lucille Rheinhart. She is survived by two daughters, Mildred McCormack Forsyth of Grundy County, TN and Elaine Gail McCormack of Phoenix, AZ; three sons, Ralph Clayton McCormack, Paul Morris McCormack and Jerry Steve McCormack all of Warren County, TN; seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two brothers, Cecil Dewey Prater of McMinnville and Eugene Prater of Warren County, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 in High's Chapel with Nestor Stewart officiating. Burial followed in the Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs.
