Mary Alice MCCORMICK

Morrison, TN resident and Stewart County, TN native Mary Alice McCormick, age 89, was born October 5, 1918 and died June 1, 2008 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Elisha and Florida Ann Barrows Causey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Warren A. Causey; sisters, Doris Elder, Hazel Phillips, Retha Wolford, Billie Vanzant, Jessie Berry and Kathlene Causey. She was married to Clifford McCormick of Morrison, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Benita and Larry Allen of Morrison, TN; two grandchildren, Terry Allen of Morrison, TN and Shelby Brackett of Forest City, NC; great-granddaughter, Krystal Brackett of Forest City, NC; ten nieces and nephews and seven step-children, Leo and Gary Seay of Paducah, KY, Michael, James and Nelson McCormick, Elizabeth Reed and Debbie Rice all of Tennessee. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in High's Chapel with Ray Winton and Warren B. Causey officiating. Burial followed in the Jericho Cemetery in White County, TN.
