Bonnie Lee MYERS

Rowlett, TX resident and Grundy County, TN native Bonnie Lee Myers, age 81, was born April 16, 1927 and died October 20, 2008. Bonnie always called Tennessee home and remained faithful to the Church of Christ at Chestnut Grove. While living in Tennessee, she enjoyed helping others, cooking no matter what time of the day and sending letters and cards to friends and family. A hard worker all her life, she set the example for her children, that they might grow up to be loving, nurturing and good citizens. She wanted them to have an education and be all they could be. She was the daughter of the late Dock H. and Rachel Qualls Ledbetter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hervy Myers; brothers, Wilmer, Kenneth and Fred Ledbetter; sister Bobbie Jane Davis and two infant sisters. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cindy Myers of Viola, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Betts of Cabot, AR and Sue and Greg Martinez of Rowlett, TX; grandchildren, Kevin Betts of North Little Rock, AR, Kelly Green of Malvern, AR, Michael Simmons of Rowlett, TX, Thomas Martinez of Allen, TX, Brad Myers of Viola, TN, Amanda Simmons of Rowlett, TX and April Seeds of Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Brandon Chamblee and Seth Ryan Betts both of North Little Rock, AR, Mattison, Ryleigh and Evan Green all of Malvern, AR, Tristan and Gabriela Seeds both of Plano, TX, Dylan Crawford and Sean Simmons both of Rowlett, TX and Marley and Miles Martinez both of Allen, TX. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 in High's Chapel with Clayton Jones officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
