Virgil Lloyd NICHOLAS

Morrison, TN resident and Pickett County, TN native Virgil Lloyd Nicholas, age 86, was born November 11, 1921 and died January 27, 2008 at his residence following a lengthy illness. A farmer and a member of the Barren Fork Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Joe and Bercelia Poore Nicholas. He was married May 10, 1968 to Louise Nunley Nicholas of Morrison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sherry Nicholas and Lloyd Nicholas both of Morrison, TN and Everett Nicholas of McMinnville; four step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, James and Gail Murray of Morrison, TN, Charles Johnson and David Johnson both of Woodbury and Billy Johnson of Indiana; daughter, Charlotte Nicholas of Morrison, TN; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Brenda and Buddy Johnson of Woodbury, TN; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Amos and Isabella Nicholas, Arlen and Bessie Nicholas, Novel and Edith Nicholas and Roosevelt Nicholas and two sisters and brother-in-law, Christine Medley and Delena and Waldon Gaither. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in High's Chapel with David Dawson officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery @ Barren Fork.
