Chester Lee O'NEAL

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Chester Lee O'Neal, age 59, was born May 2, 1948 and died January 14, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A self-employed nurseryman, a Untied States Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Johnny Edward and Mable Beatrice King O'Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Joyce O'Neal, Gladys Lucille Fults and Barbara Nell Smartt and two brothers, Edward Delano O'Neal and Henry Royce O'Neal. He was married June 14, 2002 to Barbara Orrick O'Neal of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen Matthew O'Neal, Kasey Lee O'Neal and Robert Edward and Dana LeeAnn O'Neal all of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Sierra LeeAnn Griffith, Destiny Jada O'Neal, Tristen Renee Griffith and Madden Grace O'Neal all of McMinnville; four sisters, Hazel Marie Rutledge, Jane Roberta Lewis, Ada Elizabeth O'Neal and Lois Elaine McCormick all of McMinnville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Joe and Cornelia Orrick of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 in High's Chapel with Jason Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Barren Fork Cemetery.
