William J. Joe ORRICK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native William J. "Joe" Orrick, age 85, was born October 23, 1922 and died June 3, 2008 at his residence following a sudden illness. The retired service manager at Puckett Motors, Willmore Ford and Norrod's Garage, a United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of the First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Doyle and Agnes Fay Swanger Orrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Orrick and half-sister, Willie Alene Gibbs. He was married September 8, 1946 to Cornelia Lorance Orrick of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Barbara Lynn O'Neal of McMinnville; two brothers, Leon Orrick of McMinnville and Everage Orrick of Indiana; step-brother, Rayford Davis of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 in High's Chapel with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Barren Fork Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
