Alta Inez PEGG

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alta Inez Pegg, age 84, was born April 24, 1924 and died May 6, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. A homemaker and member of the Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Douglas and Grover Lee Woodlee Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Sain and grandson, Michael Anthony Pegg. She was married November 24, 1945 to James Alvin Pegg of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Skip and Merrilyn Pegg and Larry Pegg both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Chris and Nelson Pegg, Terry Slatton, Tonya Bell, Kim Hillis, Sunshine Cook, Stephanie Racine and Christie Pistole; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Mix of McMinnville and two brothers, Frank and Charles Roberts both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 in High's Chapel with Lane Dix and R.L. Rigney officiating. Burial followed in the Armstrong Cemetery.
