Dorsey Walter PELHAM

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Dorsey Walter Pelham, age 88, was born January 20, 1920 and died April 22, 2008 at Manchester Healthcare in Manchester, TN. A retired night watchman at Burroughs-Ross-Colville and a member of the McMinnville Free Will Baptist Church, he was the son of the late John L. and Mary Basham Pelham. He was married to Lydia Stacy Pelham who preceded him in death August 5, 2000. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hiram Pelham, Lawton Pelham and Levi Pelham and three sisters, Daisy Harrington, Margaret Coppinger and Jane Jones. He is survived by one daughter, Jean McInturff of Manchester, TN; two grandchildren and their spouses, Christy and Michael McBee of Morrison, TN and Steven and Alisha McInturff of Manchester, TN; sister, Susie Ellsworth of Normandy, TN; three great-grandchildren; six step-children and their spouses, Leighton Anderson of Tullahoma, TN, Shirley and Archie Driver of McMinnville, Ann and Bud Bell and Marvin and Sue Anderson both of Manchester, TN, Marvin and Sue Anderson of Morrison, TN and Sue and Benny Faircloth of Springfield, TN; eleven step-grandchildren and several great-step-grandchildren. A graveside service and interment was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Bascom Cemetery with Benny Benjamin officiating.
