Georgia Wilma Smith PURSLEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Georgia Wilma Smith Pursley, age 85, was born March 12, 1923 and died December 12, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired nurse's aid and member of the protestant faith, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Bina Hillis Smith. She was married to John Charles Pursley who preceded her in death in 1996. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Pursley. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Linda Huff and Charles and Sissy Pursley both of McMinnville; six grandchildren and their spouses, Tina and Jeff Lassiter, Michael and Becky Pursley, Eric Pursley, Lisa Pursley, Christy and Chris Wheatley and Holly Walker; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Rich of Chattanooga, TN and caregiver, Eva Graham of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 in High's Chapel with Vernon Joines officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
