Douglas Wayne RAMSEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Douglas Wayne Ramsey, age 52, was born February 12, 1956 and died November 30, 2008 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. An employee of Bridgestone, a United States Air Force veteran and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Sarah Jean Smith Ramsey of McMinnville and the late Clyde W Ramsey. He was married May 13, 2000 to Deborah Wilson Ramsey of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three step-sons, Joey Watson and Jamie Watson both of McMinnville and Jason Watson of Washington D.C.; brother, Karl William Ramsey of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Vicki and Mitchell Biles of Jackson, TN and Rita Ramsey of McMinnville; nieces, CherLisa Biles and CherNae Biles and nephews, Christopher Biles and Torrell Ramsey. Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
