Annie Mai SOUTHARD

Atoka, TN resident and Viola, TN native Annie Mai Southard, age 83, was born January 27, 1925 and died July 31, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN following a short illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Murry Morris and Jessie Bonner Mansfield Sain. She was married to Carl Franklin Southard who preceded her in death October 25, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Allan Southard; sisters, Lillian Cunningham, Janie Gonce and Margaret Womack and two brothers, Harold and Robert Sain. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Linda Southard of Atoka, TN; foster son, Tommy Southard of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Leann (Ben) Hopper, Matthew (Dawn) Ingersoll, Mark (Linda) Ingersoll, Brian Southard, Colte Southard and Chris Southard; sister, Ruby Brewer of McMinnville; two brothers, Jim Sain and Fred Sain both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 in High's Chapel with James Rice officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery.
