J.P. STUBBLEFIELD

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native J.P. Stubblefield, age 88, was born September 3, 1919 and died March 3, 2008 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A self-employed truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Richard and Blanche Gibbs Stubblefield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hiram and Harry Stubblefield and sister, Nora Lee Michael. He was married March 19, 1971 to Annie Craven Stubblefield of Morrison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Marcella Stubblefield of the Irving College Community; three daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Eddie Cantrell of Rock Island, TN and Khyva and Clifford Starkey and Tammy Sutherland both of McMinnville; three step-children and their spouses, Judy and R.W. Burns, Frankie and Cecil Ferrell and Eddie and Corazon Pinegar all of McMinnville; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, twenty-five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in High's Chapel with Bob Deason officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery.
