Celia Mae SWANN

Manchester, TN resident and Warren County native Celia Mae Swann, age 94, was born September 14, 1913 and died January 27, 2008 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma in Tullahoma, TN following a brief illness. A retired seamstress at Star Union Company and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Victoria Lee Smith Hendricks. She was married October 1, 1933 to Barney J. Swann who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marie Rains and grandson, Gordon Rains. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Joan Swann of Tullahoma, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Frankie and Gary Wooten of Manchester, TN; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Roy Rains of Woodbury, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in High's Chapel with Kip Green officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
